'There is no iPhone at the end of that line, all right?'

From "Late Night Recaps the Queen’s Funeral" posted Tuesday by the New York Times:

Queen Elizabeth’s funeral took place on Monday, with crowds waiting in line for up to 24 hours to pay their respects.

Trevor Noah called the wait “no joke,” saying, “There is no iPhone at the end of that line, all right? It’s just a box and you don’t even get to open the box.”

Cue the video (iPhone joke at 3:50):

My take: The death of a monarch in the 21st century -- of course they're going to write jokes about that. But the twist into an iPhone launch? Brilliant!

Yeah, I thought that was actually funny! (Unlike most.)

It’s going to seem strange having a British monarchy without a Queen Elizabeth. She was the only constant in my life for 70 years. I’ll miss her.
