Residing in Southern California, the Apple Store app and also Apple’s website to preorder iPhone X didn’t become live for me until 12:09 AM PT despite my constant refresh attempts (and force closing app). Although my order processed (space gray 64gb) with delivery between Nov. 17-24, I’m curious on how others had access to Apple from 12:01 AM to 12:08 AM PT.

Was there perhaps a strategic rollout per region per each minute that passed? I’d be interested to learn where others reside who also obtained access from 12:01-12:08 AM.

I waited, yet Verizon says I’ll receive my iPhone X on December 1st. We’ll see about that.

I watched the Macworld live video twitter feed, and it appeared that T-Mobile went live 3 mins before the official start time. People were ordering. Verizon, my carrier went live at 12:01pt. I, like others was trying to get in thru the AppleStore app, as that’s worked for me in the past, but I also had Safari open to the Apple Store website. I also favorited my choice beforehand. It seemed like 10mins before the AppleStore went live for me, and while I waited, I logged into my Verizon account and went thru until the credit card confirm page. I continued to try thru Apple, but finally just clicked on my Verizon order since I was getting worried that I might not get my choice on Nov. 3rd. Of course, as soon as I did that, the AppleStore became available. I did think about getting a 2nd iPhone X, and then selling it, but I didn’t.

Of course, after ordering, I kept checking to see if I got a confirmation email from Verizon. It took until 12:30pt before I got the confirm for Nov 3rd shipment, not delivery.
