MacRumors: Apple is bringing MagSafe back to the Mac today (video)

Also an SD card slot, an HDMI port and several USB-Cs.

From "What to Expect at Apple October Event: M1X MacBook Pros, AirPods, & More" posted Friday:

Apple's first fall event of 2021 focused on the iPhone and the Apple Watch, but the second, set to be held on Monday, October 18, is expected to be Mac-centric. The upcoming event will see the debut of the highly anticipated 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, plus we could also get refreshed AirPods and a new Mac mini.

Cue the video:

My take: I'll be tuning in to today's Unleashed event to see if Apple really does undo the most user-hostile act of the Tim Cook/Jony Ive era© and you can too. Click here at 1 p.m. Eastern (10 a.m. Pacific).

I want a 27” iMac equipped with 5G, and a 5G AirPort Extreme. Knowing I’m not likely to get it for another 3 to 4 years, I’ll settle for an M-1X processor and multi screen support, to tide me over until then.
