It’s an attractive video. But the Apple Card is even more attractive when viewed in one’s digital wallet. The physical Apple Card, intended for use at locations Apple Pay is not yet available, also stands out.

But more important than the card’s visual appeal is the way the Goldman Sachs Apple Card actually works. I believe it’s THE card for the digital age. All charges are easily viewed on an iPhone, the cash back is delineated by purchase, locations where the card has been used are mapped and there’s an easy option to simply pay off the balance early.

Security, simplicity and readily available information on card usage make the Apple Card my card of choice for most purchases.

Love my Apple card. Love getting cash every night! Love it that the color of the card shows me what I have been blowing my bucks on– (it changes in your digital wallet to reflect food, entertainment, etc…) Love it that the TV series I bought last night on iTunes gave me 3% back by this morning. Love not having to phone in to find out my balance, and that I will likely never pay interest again on credit card debt. Waiting to buy a nice little case or sleeve for it, since it’s not supposed to be kept next to leather, denim or other cards– why is Apple not making these? Apple, take my money, please.
(Oh, does anyone remember that great Onion article where the new product was announced that simply allowed Apple to withdraw money from your accounts without you having to go to the trouble of actually purchasing stuff. So convenient….)

Did an Apple search on the Onion site. Some pretty funny stuff. Did not find the one Kathy mentioned. Did find this:

Apple Announces New Trade-In Offer For Customers To Exchange Their Old iPhones For Absolutely Nothing

CUPERTINO, CA—Saying the new policy was part of the company’s unwavering commitment to consumer relations, Apple announced Wednesday an unprecedented offer that will allow its customers to trade in their old iPhones and, in return, receive absolutely nothing. “If you’re a member of the Apple community with an older iPhone that no longer meets your needs, I’m pleased to inform you we will now throw that phone away for you,” said Apple CEO Tim Cook, explaining that customers need only bring their unwanted iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks to a participating Apple Store location to complete the exchange, and no proof of purchase will be necessary. “We’re committed to keeping our customers up-to-date with the latest products, so we want to make it easy for you to dispose of your old iPhone 6 or 7 and receive $0 credit toward the purchase of a new Apple product—even if you were on a contract. We’ll even take your fully functional, brand-new devices and throw them into a dumpster right then and there, no questions asked.” Cook went on to clarify that all trade-ins will be subject to a $50 disposal fee.

MacRumors “Bailey also confirmed that Apple is “working on” allowing users to export their Apple Card financial data to a budgeting app like Mint.”
