Free advice from 53 “experts,” including yours truly.

If you had to pick only 3 reasons to get an Apple Watch, what 3 reasons would you choose?

Vlad Khvatov asked the question, did the legwork and wrote the commentary. Here’s the link to his results. This was my entry:

Khvatov’s summary:

  1. Health & Fitness Tracking tied with 43 votes
  2. Quick Access To Notifications & Apps (Time, Weather, Calendar etc) tied with 40 votes
  3. Apple Ecosystem (Including ApplePay and Siri) – 17 votes
  4. Leaving Phone & Music Opportunity (LTE version) tied with 15 votes
  5. Style & Customization tied with 7 votes

My take: I’m the only Apple Watch owner who still reads printed newspapers.

One thing I don’t see listed s securely opening your Macbook. I love this feature. I put on the watch in the morning and it knows that I am who I am and automatically enters the password and unlocks my MacBook.

It’s often the tiny little things that make something seem worth the while.

I’m surprised that Apple Pay didn’t get more votes. It is really a pleasure to use my Apple Watch at checkout. I wear my watch from when I get up until I go to bed. My phone is silenced during that entire time. Neither I nor anyone ever hears it ring. Great in so many ways. Especially if your hearing is going and you can’t hear the phone in noisy environments.

I agree completely. When I compare that to using the chip reader function on my day to day VISA, it is so quick, so easy. I wish it were everywhere!
