Apple’s dividend yield is up more than 50%

If that’s any consolation.

A year ago, Apple was trading for more than $130 a share. Today, following Tuesday’s earnings and Thursday’s Icahnning, it’s hovering around $93.

Its dividend yield, however, climbed more than 50% in those same 12 months, from 1.44% to 2.22%.

Feel better?

For those of us who have been invested in AAPL since before the iPad, the dividend yield based on cost of acquisition is pretty sweet.
