They’ve already been hit and will rebound in a big way this week. The supply chain and chip shortages are starting to ease. So that issue is being eradicated.

Michael: In my view, Apple’s fundamentals remain incredibly strong. I wish I had your optimism on this week’s trading. I trust market momentum and sentiment about as much as New Englanders trust a 10-day weather forecast. In other words, I don’t. Long-term, no problem. We’ll see what happens. I do expect good news from Apple regardless of how the market responds.

Analysts are clearly drawing a distinction between tech and “high-quality tech.” In the short-term sentiment may hold sway. Apple has sensational fundamentals, a huge share buyback program in place and an annually rising dividend. The pandemic period accelerated the pace of the ongoing digital transformation and while Apple might have some challenging y-o-y comparisons, the growth story remains intact. I don’t know which direction the market will take in the short-term. Over the long-term Apple is well positioned for growth. Caveat Emptor. Apple can trade in price ranges divorced from the company’s fundamental for extended periods. I wouldn’t “trade” Apple. I’d look at it as a long-term investment. Please do thorough research and make informed decisions.
