Seems like the market did not take the tweet seriously, beyond a short blip.

I’d treat his tweets simply as bull.

Steve Bannon makes a salient point (don’t blow-off DJT). I believe, though, that Tim Cook has the requisite personal, business and negotiable skills to ameliorate matters with the president while not complying with the president’s tweet.

While DJT desires, if not demands, a strict code of personal fealty, Tim Cook can and most likely will circumvent a potential blow-back from the president by maintaining a high level of conviviality through personal engagement and, through proffered plans to the president that have significant political strategies and backing to where the president is willing to sit down and engage. Talk it out. The president won’t negotiate with himself. So, it has to be something for Tim Cook to tender to the president where the president believes he gets something in return. Steve Bannon knows this privately, but will not admit it publicly.

Much of this is more performance than substance.

Maybe TC could offer to build an Apple Store (mini) in Trump Tower to increase its value?
