Apple shareholders, mark your calendars

These meetings are mostly news-free, but if you’re in the area and you haven’t been inside the Steve Jobs Theater…

From the Proxy statement:

Items of Business

(1)  To elect to the Board of Directors the following seven nominees presented by the Board: James Bell, Tim Cook, Al Gore, Andrea Jung, Art Levinson, Ron Sugar, and Sue Wagner;

(2)  To ratify the appointment of Ernst & Young LLP as the independent registered public accounting firm for 2020;

(3)  To vote on an advisory resolution to approve executive compensation;

(4)  To vote on the shareholder proposals set forth in the Proxy Statement, if properly presented at the Annual Meeting; and

(5)  To transact such other business as may properly come before the Annual Meeting and any postponements or adjournments thereof.

My take: No shares; not invited.

    Thanks PED. I have not received information from my brokers on the scheduled annual meeting. I hope to attend and needed the information to plan my calendar accordingly. Getting this notice more quickly is very helpful.

    @Joseph Bland:

    I and another friend-of-the-blog also plan to attend if we succeed through registration in getting an Apple invite. You have an insightful depth of knowledge and understanding of Apple’s fundamentals along with an extraordinary mindful facilities of sensing the company’s future performance. Would you be so kind as to consider giving the group a brief synopsis following the shareholders meeting of your impressions and what you anticipate 2020 holds for Apple going forward? I for one would welcome your input. PED, sure wish you would consider going. We love to get your impressions, too.

    @George Ewonus:

    George, reference PED’s blog above. Go to The link has all the information you need on attending the 2020 Annual Meeting of Apple Shareholders. Advance registration takes place at 8:00 am Pacific Time on February 4, 2020. Whoever holds your Apple shares (broker, bank or some other entity) will be sending you the proxy materials that has your “unique control number.” Call whoever that entity is and asked them to send you the material so that you have it available on the 4th of February. You will need that unique control number to complete your registration. Seats are limited so it would be prudent to register as soon as the registration opens that morning
