What Frank Casanova’s elevation at Apple to chief of product marketing for augmented reality really means.

From Mark Gurman’s “Apple Taps iPhone Executive to Be First Head of Marketing for AR.”

Apple Inc. assigned a longtime iPhone executive as its first head of marketing for augmented reality, demonstrating the importance of the technology to the company’s future. [emphasis mine]

My take: …demonstrating the importance of marketing to the technology’s future.

That is cool. I remember getting lost in downtown Baltimore several years ago. It was late at night and things didn’t look the same as they did when I left my hotel room next to the baseball park. By the time I got back to my hotel my feet HURT.

I’d like to see that in CarPlay.
