Back in Brooklyn for an Apple event

The Brooklyn Academy of Music (1908) has been tarted up with Apple art and a glowing over-sized logo.

Found in the subway: Posters with unnamed MacBook.

The event, scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Eastern (7 a.m. Pacific), will be live-streamed here.

My take: The old stomping grounds, where I lived for 30 years, feel as familiar as a worn pair of jeans. Can’t wait to see what Apple decided to do about my aging MacBook Air.

And for those of us listening in from Europe — don’t forget that the USA is still on their Summer Daylight Saving Time and we have switched back to Winter time. So these are the few weeks each year when there is one less hour in the time difference.
So in Ireland and Britain 10:00am New York time is 2:00pm (not the 3:00pm that it is most of the time).

Coming your way to see where my great, great grandfather came from (traced him to County Mayo, Ireland early 19th century) this next summer. Care to share a pint?
