Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference Kicks off June 4 in San Jose

CUPERTINO, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Apple® today announced it will host its 29th annual Worldwide Developers Conference in San Jose from June 4 through June 8. The McEnery Convention Center will be home to the world’s most creative developer community, who come together every year to share unique perspectives and learn about the future of Apple’s breakthrough products and services.

My take: What? No space in Apple Park?

You are probably right. The auditorium only seats 1,000 people. It’s a beautiful venue, but not large enough for a keynote which usually plays to about 5,000 people.

I suspect that another reason that WWDC is not on Apple Campus is for IP security reasons. Apple wants to share a lot of good information with developers, but not all of it.

Would be nice, but even tickets for 4000 developers get snapped up in minutes.
