Apple Earnings Smackdown: Final spreadsheet for Q2 2016

Here are a few dozen analysts' estimates, as complete, accurate and up-to-date as I can make them.

Wall Street professionals in blue, independents in green. Corrections appreciated, but the betting window closed at noon Tuesday.

Tune in after the markets close Tuesday April 26 for Apple's results. I'll be auditing the earnings call and you can too. Here's the webcast link.

I'll post the analysts' reactions Wednesday morning and the best-and-worst list that afternoon.

Thanks, as always, to Posts at Eventide’s Robert Paul Leitao for pulling together the independent Braeburn Group numbers.

NOTE: This spreadsheet is synched with Apple Earnings Smackdown: Q2 2016 edition, updated.

GM percentage change in the table, is the -1% ‘Estimated Change’ a percentage of the prior year 39.9% ?

    Put another way is 39.5% a difference of -1% from 39.9% or is 39.5% a -0.4 (%) delta from 39.9% ?

Percents can be a tricky thing to compare.

  2. The way I’d put it is the difference year over year is 0.4 percentage points, or a hair over 1%. I wanted to keep the method for calculating percentages consistent across the spreadsheet.
