Apple’s will report Q2 earnings on April 30. Here’s what 21 pros expect.
I’m still gathering estimates from individual analysts for my quarterly Earnings Smackdown. (It’s been like pulling teeth this quarter.) Meanwhile, I’ve been given access to the average estimates of 21 Wall Street analysts through Visible Alpha, a consortium of banks that gathers data for internal use (and for sharing with clients and journalists).
With less than two weeks to Apple’s earnings call, here’s their consensus:
Fiscal Q2 2019
Total Revenue (billions): $57.4
Revenue by segment (billions)
Gross margin on total revenue: 37.6%
My take: Apple’s revenue guidance for Q2 was $55 to $59 billion. In other words, Visible Alpha’s estimate, 6% lower than last year, is smack in the middle of what Apple told them to expect. For those keeping track, Visible Alpha’s EPS estimate is 12% lower than last year’s actual EPS.
